DIAMOND GRINDING

Diamond grinding has become one of the sought after surface preparation procedures.
Early in its emergence, diamond grinding was strictly for commercial, industrial preparation. Its capabilities to remove thin set, epoxies and parking deck urethanes and smooth out rough aggregate exposed concrete made the process of preparation much easier. Whereas, coupled with shot blasting made the process the ideal profiling system.

Diamond grinding pushes the fines into the concrete pours and shot blasting pulls the fines complete out and providing the anchor tooth profile for toppings , coatings and thin films. Reversing the process, eliminates the tracking marks produced by shot blasting method.

The art of acid staining, acrylic dyes and floor sealing (silicate based) has clearly made the texture- profile aesthetically superior.

With the manufactures striving to produce a new and better mouse trap, the old work horse Terrco® still produces the main stay of our industry. A grinding machine that can endure what ever the flooring industries throws at us and our first choice.  As to date, diamond inserts and or plugs now come in many variations from very aggressive grit to very fine diamond matrix for high end honing or polishing.

The polishing of concrete floors has become an alternative to commercial flooring.
It’s capabilities to resist topical contamination and endure heavy foot traffic make the polishing of concrete a viable asset.
